1. General

This Privacy Statement regulates the processing of your personal data as part of the use of our website Corilus Lab Portal (https://labcodes.corilus.be). These processing operations are always carried out by the Corilus Group as controller, located at 5032 Gembloux, Rue Camille Hubert 23, with company number 0428.555.896.

Protecting the personal data of customers and visitors is very important to Corilus. We therefore make every effort to ensure this data protection and to act in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) whenever we process your personal data.

More specifically, Corilus will always treat personal data lawfully for specific purposes. We will never ask for more personal data than is required or keep that personal data for longer than is necessary. Finally, Corilus takes the required technical and organisational measures to ensure adequate security for personal data.

2. Corilus

Corilus is a leading medical software provider whose mission is to develop efficient healthcare systems that connect healthcare providers, patients and stakeholders.

In that context, Corilus comes into contact with personal data, belonging to our own employees, job applicants and our customers. Corilus is responsible for this data, and for handling it in a manner consistent with applicable legal requirements.

 

3. Personal data

According to current legislation, “personal data“ shall mean any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person (“data subject“); an identifiable natural person is one who can be identified, directly or indirectly, in particular by reference to an identifier such as a name, an identification number, location data, an online identifier or one or more factors specific to the physical, physiological, genetic, mental, economic, cultural or social identity of that natural person.

We define the processing of personal data as an operation or set of operations relating to personal data or a set of personal data, whether or not carried out by automated means, such as the collection, recording, organisation, structuring, storage, adaptation or alteration, retrieval, consultation, use, disclosure by transmission, dissemination or otherwise making available, alignment or combination, blocking, erasure or destruction of data.

Examples of personal data include your name, address or email address, but this also includes your IP address.

Corilus will only process the following personal data about you on the Lab portal (https://labcodes.corilus.be):

    • Mobile number

  • Profession and employment:
    • Organisation
    • Function
3.2. Why do we process your personal data?

Corilus will only use your personal data to communicate with you in the context of a professional relationship based on consent or, if necessary, to manage the account information on the Corilus Lab portal.

3.2.1. Medidoc account data management (lab codes)

The personal data we collect for this purpose is used to correctly process your account on the https://labcodes.corilus.be website.

3.2.2. Processing email notification for new lab codes

Customers have the option to receive an email notification when new lab codes are published. A customer can register for this by ticking the box stating that he/she wishes to be informed when new content is available.

3.3. Do we transfer your personal data to third parties?

Corilus will refrain from disclosing or passing on your personal data, except in the following cases:

  • We work together with ICT partners (“Processors“) who support us with website hosting. They will only process your personal data through our written instructions and this takes place according to an established processing agreement.
  • If required by law.

 

4. What rights do you have and how do you exercise them?
4.1. The inspection of your personal data

You have the right to have access to all personal data that we process about you at all times. You can always do this yourself in your Medidoc account. 

4.2. The correction of your personal data

If you wish to amend or correct your personal data, you can always do so directly in your Medidoc profile.

4.3. The deletion of your personal data

You have the right to remove your personal data if it is no longer necessary in light of the purposes of this privacy statement. You can always delete your account data yourself in your Medidoc account.

4.4. The transfer of your personal data

You have the right to receive your personal data in a universally readable format such as a text file or other digital file.

4.5. Objecting to the processing of your personal data

If you feel that we are not using your personal data correctly, you may object to the processing operations that are not necessary in the context of our professional relationship. You can do this by contacting our DPO and sending an email to qc@corilus.be.

4.6. Filing a complaint with the supervisory authority

If you are not satisfied with the way in which your personal data is handled, you can lodge a complaint with the competent data protection authority. This is the Data Protection Authority in Belgium. For more information, please visit www.gegevensbeschermingsautoriteit.be.

 

5. Cookies we get stuck into it!

Corilus Lab portal uses cookies on this website. In this statement you can read more about which cookies they are and how we use them.

5.1. But first… what are cookies?
